How to buy a learning platform

Great advice here from the eLearning24/7 blog about getting what you want (not what the supplier wants to show you) from a learning platform – or any software system in fact.

To Craig’s list I’d add: make sure you’re seeing and talking about the current system, not some as yet unreleased functionality. It’s great to buy into a supplier which has a strong and creative system roadmap, but you need to know the system’s going to work for you now, not at an undefined point in the future.

And if you’re just seeing static Powerpoint rather than a live demo, be suspicious and ask some pointed questions!
