The e-KSF

The e-KSF is the web-based tool developed in partnership with the Department of Health to help organisations implement and support the Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF).

Key features include:

• FREE at point of use for NHS Organisations
• Available to use NOW across all 4 countries of the UK, with ongoing national funding
• A single database, available to all staff to update and maintain their development review records and retain them if they move between NHS organisations.
• Integrated with the ESR (England/Wales) and SWISS (Scotland) HR management systems - so the e-KSF is 'future-proof' and there will be no duplication of data entry.
• A web-based system, means there is no need to install new hardware or software.
• The system is secure and confidential - unique log-ins ensure users only see the information they're allowed to.

The e-KSF supports all elements of the KSF development process including the creation of Post Outlines, assignment of Post Outlines to staff, conducting and recording the KSF Development Review, creating Short Term Action Plans (if required) and the creation, management and evaluation of Personal Development Plans.
